Arc de cercle - series of 12 drawings, ink on paper, 150 x 100 cm, 2018
The Arc de cercle is a phenomenon described by Jean Martin Charcot (1825-1893), which occurs in connection with hysteric seizures. The body is thereby extended in a circular arc towards the back. The large-scale ink paintings on paper show this actobatic pose in a serial repetition.Apparently light and airy, the contortions fit the sheet of paper and the surrounding room.
